Barcelona is home to several synagogues that reflect its rich Jewish heritage. The Major Synagogue of Barcelona, located in the historic Jewish quarter known as El Call, is one of the oldest in Europe and now serves as a museum and cultural center.
It offers guided tours that explore Jewish history and traditions, along with private experiences like Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. Its summer schedule runs Monday to Friday from 10:30 to 18:30, and Sunday from 10:30 to 14:30; it’s closed on Saturdays.
In winter, it opens Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 17:30, and Sunday from 11:00 to 15:00.
For active worship, the Comunidad Israelita de Barcelona and Chabad Lubavitch of Barcelona offer regular services, Torah classes, and Shabbat meals
